Bunk beds have been used by thousands of children from all over the world throughout the years. And such beds continue to increase in popularity as their designs and styles continue to progress, as well. Nowadays, they are classified according to their materials and models. Among the most widely known types are the metal bunk beds. Obviously, these beds are made of metal. They are offered in a variety of designs, sizes, and colors. They are very lightweight too. And they are much cheaper than the other types of them.
However, there are lots of negative concerns regarding the metal beds. A lot of them have been taken out from various furniture shops and malls in the past. They have been recalled because of several issues on their safety. It has been reported that many of the top bunks of these beds have collapsed. Some have faulty designs and others have problems on their alignments. In addition, several of these metal beds have poorly connected joints. That is why the parents of the children who sleep in these bunk beds have to weld the joints into place again after some time.

So, after a few years of regular usage, they will become brittle. The paint on the bunk beds will fade and chip off. The metal on which the mattress is placed will noticeably curve. And even if the child who sleeps on it does not move much, it will still eventually bend and rust. Also, they are not very stable. They tend to quiver and wobble. Most of them are often unsteady, and this unsteadiness poses great risks to the children who use such bunk beds.
